COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

Update on March 25, 2022:

According to CDC Guidelines, face masks are now optional at the Pope Memorial Library.

​

The "COVID 19 Community Level” is currently low in Carroll County, NH. This is a measure of the impact of COVID-19 illness on health & local healthcare systems. Therefore we changed face masks from required to optional.

​

While we are aware of the Omicron BA.2 subvariant, COVID has always been a moving target, and the status of masks might change again going forward if need be. Please check this website and our signage in the building often.

​

Please respect the health & safety of others: Wear a mask if you are not vaccinated and do not enter the building if you have any Covid symptoms.  Thank you!!

​

We continue to offer no-contact ​Curbside pickup by request. Please let us know if you like to pick up your reserves on the outside shelf.

 

We also offer appointments for elderly and medically vulnerable patrons by request.​

​

We are very lucky that our new building offers: 

  • Lots of space for social distancing

  • State-of-the-art ventilation equipment: air can be completely filtered and “renewed” every 12 minutes throughout the building.

  • HEPA-filters are in place and will be changed regularly.

  • Social distancing is appreciated

  • Access to hand sanitizer & sanitizing wipes is available at multiple locations in the building

Curbside Service 

Location: Main Entrance, accessible from the parking lot.

Times: When the library is open

 

Item Pickup:

  • The reserved items are labeled with your first name & last name’s initial & your library card number.

  • They will be placed on the blue shelf at the new main entrance.

To Reserve Books & DVDs & CDs:

  • Please reserve via our online catalog. Go to the top right to log in with your library card number & your phone number.

  • Search for the item you want, click on the title, and then click "reserve" on top.

  • If you don't know what you want, check out "What's New," "What's Hot," (bottom left) or search for "DVD" or "Rental-DVD" (if you want a new movie), or an author or actor you like, etc.

  • If you have never used the online catalog and would like some help, please click here.

  • Feel free to let us pick some books for you. Just email us and let us know how many what kind of books you like (mysteries, suspense, romance, or “something like Baldacci, Nora Roberts, etc.”)

  • Check out our new "Readers' Advisory Feature" in our catalog. It gives you recommendations: "If you like this book, you might also like..."  or "similar authors are...."

  • If you can't reserve online, please email me your titles. We will do our best to get them ready for the next pickup time.

  • Please email me to request magazine titles as well
     

Return of Library Materials:

  • Please return all library materials when you are done.

  • Return DVDs & CDs into the blue skinny "DVD/CD Return" box next to the entrance door.​
