Animals with Bad Reputations Can you think of any conflicts wildlife have with people? The public image of some animals is often inaccurate and can result in negative attitudes. A Squam Lakes Natural Science Center naturalist will introduce you to live animals that have a bad “rep” and help you consider the good side of these wild neighbors.

Think of conflicts wildlife have with people. The public images of many New Hampshire species are often inaccurate and can result in negative attitudes held by people towards these animals. In this live animal presentation, a Squam Lakes Natural Science Center naturalist will introduce you to three live animals that have a bad reputation. Learn more about the lives of these animals, including the ways adaptations related to their bad reputations support survival in the natural world, and consider the good sides of these wild neighbors. Animal ambassadors may include (but are not limited to) the infamous skunk, opossum, porcupine, or snapping turtle.
