About the event

Learn the basics of darning during this 3 hour workshop.

Darning is a sewing and needlework technique used to repair holes, worn spots, or tears in fabric and knitted garments (like socks) by interweaving thread or yarn over the damaged area. Unlike patching, which involves sewing a separate piece of fabric over a hole, darning uses only a needle and thread to rebuild the fabric.   Bring in a piece of knitwear that needs repair; sweater, socks, hats, etc. All supplies included.
