Silent Disco - August 1

Join us this SUMMER for more dancing at the Library.

It's back! Saturday, August 1, the library hosts its fourth Silent Disco.
The event, which is gaining popularity around the world, is where people dance to music played through wireless headphones.
Rather than using a speaker system, music is broadcast via a radio transmitter, and the signal is picked up by wireless headphone receivers worn by the participants. Those without the headphones hear no music, giving the effect of a room full of people dancing to nothing.
WHAT IS A SILENT DISCO?
We have three music stations to choose from for a variety of ages and interests.
The event will be held on different floors of the library, as well as in the library courtyard (weather permitting) and there will be refreshments available.
Prizes for best dressed, though dressing for your chosen era is not required; it adds to the fun!
This event is for all ages (12 & under must be accompanied by an adult) and is a substance-free event.
