Join us this SUMMER for more dancing at the Library.


It's back! Saturday, August 1, the library hosts its fourth Silent Disco.

​

The event, which is gaining popularity around the world, is where people dance to music played through wireless headphones.


Rather than using a speaker system, music is broadcast via a radio transmitter, and the signal is picked up by wireless headphone receivers worn by the participants.​ Those without the headphones hear no music, giving the effect of a room full of people dancing to nothing.



​WHAT IS A SILENT DISCO?


  • ​​We have three music stations to choose from for a variety of ages and interests.

  • The event will be held on different floors of the library, as well as in the library courtyard (weather permitting) and there will be refreshments available. 

  • Prizes for best dressed, though dressing for your chosen era is not required; it adds to the fun!

  • This event is for all ages (12 & under must be accompanied by an adult) and is a substance-free event.
